Tantas Hormigas

So I thought today was the first day of school, but the calendar was a little off again. So we all (well most of the group) get to school at 11 for our first dance class, and then its canceled because the professor "tuve accidente". I don't know what kind of accident but basically I had a flash back to PE + recess from middle school. They gave us some balls and said go, so I sat inside with some girls and chatted haha, completely middle school PE and recess. Then we had lunch, which I brought in a lunch box, its been a couple years since that too. It was such a nice day I wanted to eat outside, but the ants (hormigas) were just eating us alive. There were so many, and they were red, so I was afraid they were going to bite me, and I think some did. An hour and a half for lunch is an interesting amount of time for us. Some people could go home but walking 20-30 minutes there and the same amount back in the sun at noon is not what they would like to be doing with their break, so we have plenty of time to eat there, but it takes me 45 minutes to commute so I would get exactly back before I have to turn around. But taking my lunch is great for me, I can eat exactly what I want and not feel like I'm offending anyone.
The one thing I did do at school today was an oral interview for placement for the first month of intensive class. I think I did well enough, not that there is a grade involved, but that is not something that I can purposely bomb so I'm in the easy class. Also, I'm afraid I would be bored without a challenge. The benefit to going surprise first is that I didn't have time to worry about it at all.
But after the interview, I got my first homework, which was actually surprisingly interesting, because some of the questions involved asking the family, and a friend of the family was there too, and he actually knew some of the famous people in the questions about Cordoba which meant he could answer very uniquely. Apparently the friend is a commedian, and he was friends with the famous commedians in my homework book!

Also, today I got my first sunburn here. I thought I was being very careful and staying in the shade but I think my walk home got me. I was probably walking and standing around for like 45 minutes going home today because I tried to go to a supermarket, mostly to see what it was like, but I couldn't find it. Tomorrow, I will find another one. I think there is one on my bus route home I just have to figure out when to get off the bus haha.

The burn really isn't that bad, the lighting in this picture makes it look worse than it really is, but I will put on sun screen tomorrow.
